Post Montgomery Center - Crocker Galleria

You're invited to participate in a climate change outreach, education and news hub program at Post Montgomery Center - Crocker Galleria’s Environmental Action Center.   This program is designed to coincide with the global UN climate negotiations in Copenhagen.

Please find David Pascal's Copenhagen Cafe program overview and summary, below. Copenhagen Cafe will be a great place to hang out for anyone interested in learning more about climate change and the strategies that world leaders are proposing to help combat it.

From Monday, December 7 through Friday, December 18, the San Francisco Carbon Collaborative and other local environmental groups and clean technology business leaders will host a climate change outreach, education and news hub to coincide with the global UN climate negotiations in Copenhagen. As world leaders, climate science experts, and environmental advocates gather in Denmark for the COP15 talks, local stakeholders will work to educate and engage Bay Area residents on a broad range of issues related to climate change and how we’re responding to it.

The Copenhagen Cafe will operate out of the Green Zebra Environmental Action Center on the ground floor of Crocker Galleria (off Sutter Street between Montgomery and Kearney). Programs are designed for the general public, climate thought leaders, clean tech entrepreneurs and investors, environmentalists, and the media. Elements of the program include: daily news briefs and analysis from key delegations and organizations participating in the Conference; interviews with global leaders and subject matter experts who are attending the Conference; presentations and panels with Bay Area leaders and subject matter experts; presentations from clean technology companies and environmental entrepreneurs; environmental film and short subject screenings; environmental and clean tech networking events; moderated group discussions; political action and advocacy opportunities; educational programs, from climate policy basics to advanced technical talks; press support, press feeds, and remote press availability; open WiFi access and drop-in work areas; and public computer stations for web browsing, blogging, and social media updates.
