Subject: ROI on Your BOMA Membership

Dear Valued Colleague,

As the voice of commercial real estate industry, BOMA delivers value to you as a commercial real estate professional, and to your company as an owner, investor, or operator of real estate. BOMA has been a unified and effective voice on commercial property issues for a century.

BOMA provides:
  • Legislative and regulatory advocacy that protects private property rights, preserves asset value, and keeps operating costs down!
  • “Best Practice” training to ensure efficient, effective property operations and profitability
  • Access to a dynamic network of local, state, national and worldwide industry contacts -- rich with knowledge and experience… that supports your professional development as well as your company’s business objectives
Simply stated we’re your guide to the jungle of local/state/national politics, your last line of defense against bad laws, your representative at the collective bargaining table, and your partner in workforce recruitment and training. We help you succeed!

Our latest advocacy success killed California Assembly Bill 350, which would have dictated building service employee hiring practices – including security staff, janitors, window cleaners and others. AB 350 required new vendors or building owners to retain all employees of prior contractors for 90 days whenever a service or ownership change occurred. Putting government in charge of who businesses must hire – even if it meant a company would have to fire its own employees to hire another company’s workers and erode the quality of their service, was wrong. And so BOMA funded an effort to halt government interference with private employment practices.

This is what we do for our members every day… continuously delivering value to commercial property professionals and benefitting our industry.
